Routt County received a GLCI grant from the Natural Resources Conservation Service to develop and demonstrate virtual fences in Routt County. This grant’s objectives will be to purchase five base stations and lease 500 collars, assist ranchers with training on the system, develop up to five grazing planes, and monitor soil health. RCCD will need to conduct 2 field tours and training sessions for local agencies. As part of this grant, RCCD is looking for a couple of contractors to administer the GCLI grant and/or collect the rangeland data. Please see the descriptions of duties:
